The Day of the 11 Rolls

RECAP

The day after Mini-Raceday 2021, 11/7/2021, went better than we imagined! Because of Daylight Savings (our bi-annual reminder that time is fake), rolls was held for an additional hour. This was the first time this semester we got to have roll arounds. We wanted to MILK it cause we haven’t had many rolls this fall.

There were a total of 13 rolls that day? Something like that, but the max that one of our new drivers, Lara Witwick got was 11. She was our last driver on bags and was super excited to have the opportunity to keep rolling around and around the course everytime. Avi and Cynthia were our other drivers that day as well, all getting the opportunity for more rolls.

There were not that many pushers in attendance this day so we all gave big rounds of applause to our pushers that day who held it down, and pushed multiple buggies, for so many rolls.

It was an incredibly fun day of rolls, cause we were so happy to finally get the chance for more.

Sidenote: Frank, Sweepstakes chair, pushed one for us LOL (there’s a picture of him pushing somewhere in the slideshow below).

DRIVER ROLL COUNT

(This portion is being written post-fall rolls.) We have 7 total drivers (of which 6 have been driving this fall).

For the Fall 21 semester, our 6 drivers totaled 73 unbagged complete rolls!! This is an average of just under 13 rolls (not counting bagged ones) for each of our 6 drivers.

Despite COVID-19 regulations restricting buggy sharing and a number of unfortunate factors having interrupted rolls (the geese and deer were especially active this year), all of our drivers have met the maximum number of carry-over rolls going into the next semester.

We intend to start Spring semester hitting the ground running (or rather, rolling)!!
